floral cropped pants: thrifted
t-shirt: smart set
loafers: old navy
necklace: vintage
I can't tell if this print is cool 50s retro or old lady on vacation. I will wear them anyway, I guess? If you think pants like this would be too warm for a humid summer day, you would be RIGHT. I nearly melted taking these photos. But I was actually freezing in my air-conditioned office all day. I had to fetch a sweater for the afternoon. I just can't win.
I'm using a weird trick I got from this post a while back. To get a boat-neck in the front and a low back I just... wore a scoopneck t-shirt backwards. I really need to cut the tag out of this shirt if I do it again because it's embarrassing enough when someone points out that your tag is sticking out and your shirt is backwards... even more so when you have to say "I know, I did it on purpose"
Those floral cropped pants are amazing. Perfect autumnal colors!
ReplyDeleteOH MAN I LOVE THESE PANTS SO MUCH
ReplyDeleteI have the same complaint about working in an office during the summer. Who decides that the ideal temperature is between meat storage and ice caps?
ReplyDeleteI was going to tell you how much I love the cut of your t-shirt, then I was informed of its deceiving ways. I will have to try that one out. Those pants are thrifted?! So jelly.
ReplyDeletebackwards shirts feel funny on my boobs :(
ReplyDeletetheres great power in dressing like an old lady in resort...
Just found your blog via emily and have to say I think the trousers are definitely on the 1950s vacation side, great they are thrifted. Also I have the same problem with air conditioning, makes it so hard to know what to wear!
ReplyDeleteFabulous printed pants. I am amazed you survived the heat lately in them, but with the office a/c story it makes much more sense.
ReplyDeleteOmg those pants are perfection! Perfectly back in style. Anyone calling them granny-like at this point is just a hater. ;)
ReplyDeleteI have that necklace!!! And so does my friend (who inherited it from her mom)! Too funny
ReplyDeleteI love the floral pants, and I giggled because sometimes I buy a vintage piece and wonder if I'm the only one who thinks it's retro and cool and everyone else thinks I look like a grandma! For the record, you don't look like an old lady at all!
